Eulogies Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt prepared to express about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started passing more hours together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the production, commenting that he could not remember "any day without joy".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a separate essay, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with his co-stars, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles judge ruled to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive placed a restriction on the investigation to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

After the deaths, public individuals offered varying comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering controversial claims that were broadly criticized by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the those speaking out last week. Conversing on his show, Rogan described the remarks as "disturbing" and remarked they showed a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an aide should have acted when the choice to speak on the tragedy was made.
