The relatives of young people unaccounted for after a deadly inferno at a establishment in a Swiss ski resort are facing an agonising wait for answers and requesting any details about their children publicly.

The fire ripped through the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Circulated video show the roof structure igniting as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Officials have indicated that it could take considerable time to formally name the fatalities of the fire, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and injured another scores more. A spokesperson stated on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with the process ongoing to name the other six.

In the meantime, loved ones have been using social media to appeal for any news about their missing relatives who were at the bar that night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing

The location of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, 16, are still unconfirmed, according to an appeal from his mother.
