Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the jet's front window, per an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The plane landed following standard procedures and everyone onboard, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This occurrence isn't the first time that a US military aircraft transporting a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.

Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington after encountering a technical issue.
